Air conditioning servicing in Leicestershire
One city, a ring of market towns, and a great deal of open country in between. Charnwood Forest is rocky, exposed and noticeably colder than the Soar valley below it; Blaby and Oadby are dense suburb; Harborough and Melton are mostly fields. Servicing here means adjusting to each of those, not driving one route.

Approved installer & service partner for

Genuine manufacturer parts · Warranty-safe servicing · Trained to manufacturer specification
A thorough service, not a quick once-over
Every ArcticNord maintenance visit follows a full manufacturer-aligned checklist to keep your system efficient, safe and reliable.
Full system inspection
Indoor and outdoor units checked for wear, corrosion, leaks and damage, with a clear written report on system health.
Deep clean & filters
Filters cleaned or replaced and coils, fans and grilles cleaned to restore airflow, efficiency and hygienic air quality.
Refrigerant leak check
An electronic leak detector is passed over the joints, valves and coils to find refrigerant escaping long before you would notice it. Charge is confirmed by temperature split across the coils — we do not connect gauges to a sealed system as a matter of routine.
Electrical & controls test
Connections, contactors and controls tested for safe operation; thermostat and remote settings checked and calibrated.
Drainage & leak prevention
Condensate drains cleared and tested to prevent water leaks, damp and mould — a common cause of breakdowns.
Service report & advice
You receive a documented report with any recommendations, so you always know the condition of your system.
What we actually find in Leicestershire
Terraces, ironstone villages and granite hamlets
Leicester's inner ring is where the density is: street after street of Victorian and Edwardian terracing built for the hosiery and footwear trades, solid-walled, tight to the pavement, with rear yards that leave little room for a condenser and a neighbour's window a few feet away. Head into Charnwood and the villages are built from local granite and slate — hard walls, small openings, conservation constraints in places. South and east through Harborough and Melton it is ironstone and red brick, scattered farmhouses and cottages on long drives. Then the modern layer: heavy estate development on the fringes of Blaby, Oadby, Lutterworth and Market Harborough, cavity walls, clear access, straightforward servicing. A county page cannot promise one method here; the survey decides.
Logistics sheds, food plants and high streets
The county sits inside the logistics Golden Triangle bounded by the M1, M6 and M69, and it shows. Magna Park at Lutterworth is Europe's largest dedicated logistics park, and SEGRO Logistics Park East Midlands Gateway is a 700-acre rail freight terminal at M1 J24, beside East Midlands Airport. Big sheds bring server rooms, control rooms, offices bolted onto warehouses and cooling that runs whether the weather is warm or not. Melton Mowbray adds food manufacturing, where temperature control is a compliance matter rather than a comfort one. Against that, the market towns run ordinary trade — shops, cafés, salons, dentists, small offices in converted period buildings. Leicester itself carries city-centre retail, restaurants and offices. A salon in Hinckley and a distribution office at J24 are not the same servicing problem, and we do not quote them the same way.
Down the A46, and Charnwood's cold edge
Most of Leicestershire is a straight run from Bilsthorpe down the A46 or the A1/M1, and the county is compact enough that Loughborough, Melton and Leicester are all comfortable in a morning. Lutterworth and the far south-west take longer. Relief is modest — mostly rolling ground between 50 and 150 metres — so there is no Peak District problem here. The exception is Charnwood Forest, where Precambrian outcrops push above 900 feet and the ground is rocky and exposed; equipment there sees more wind and colder nights than an identical unit down in the Soar valley. Elsewhere the climate is unremarkable, which is a compliment in this trade.

Good to know before you book a re-gas
Refrigerant work must be done by an F-Gas certified engineer — it's illegal to buy refrigerant or attempt this yourself.
R22 systems (pre-2010) can't legally be recharged — virgin R22 is banned. We'll advise on reclaimed-gas repair, conversion, or replacement.
Lost charge on a fairly new system (2–5 yrs)? It's often an installation defect that may be covered under the installer's workmanship warranty — we'll help you check first.
Prices can rise during summer heatwaves and for hard-to-reach outdoor units (upper floors, brackets).
All "+ VAT" prices have VAT added at 20%. Commercial systems, VRV/VRF, refrigeration and chillers are quoted individually — call us for a tailored price.

A neglected system costs more than a serviced one
Clean filters and correct refrigerant levels keep efficiency high — a dirty, undercharged system works harder and costs more to run.
Most failures are predictable. Regular checks catch small faults before they become expensive, mid-heatwave emergencies.
Servicing removes the dust, bacteria and mould that build up in filters and drains, protecting indoor air quality.
Many manufacturer warranties require annual servicing. Commercial systems also carry F-Gas legal obligations we handle for you.

Air conditioning servicing FAQs
We have sites in Leicester and out at Lutterworth — can one engineer cover both in a day? +
Usually yes, if we plan it. Leicestershire is small enough that a city site and a Lutterworth or Magna Park unit can sit on the same run, provided the appointments are booked together rather than separately. What we will not do is promise it for reactive call-outs — a breakdown in Melton on a day the engineer is committed at J24 is an honest conversation, not a juggling act. Multi-site customers get a planned schedule with fixed visit windows, and we tell you in advance which sites pair up.
Do you cover Leicestershire? +
Yes — ArcticNord services air conditioning throughout Leicestershire, including Leicester, Loughborough, Hinckley, Melton Mowbray, Coalville and Market Harborough. Call us and we'll book a visit that suits you.
How often should air conditioning be serviced? +
For most homes and offices, once a year is recommended to maintain efficiency, hygiene and reliability. Systems used heavily, or in dusty or commercial environments, may benefit from twice-yearly attention — which is what our AC Complete plan provides: a full service before summer and a shorter performance check before winter.
What does the £119 service include? +
The £119 + VAT (£142.80 including VAT) single-split visit covers a full inspection of the indoor and outdoor units, filter cleaning or replacement, coil and grille cleaning, an electronic refrigerant leak check, a temperature-split performance check, electrical and control testing, condensate drain clearing, and a written service report with any recommendations.
How is a multi-split system priced? +
A multi-split service is £164 + VAT (£196.80 including VAT), which covers up to 2 indoor units. Each additional indoor unit is £45 + VAT (£54 including VAT). We'll confirm the exact total based on how many indoor units your system has before any work begins.
What's the difference between a single-split and multi-split system? +
A single-split has one indoor unit connected to one outdoor unit. A multi-split connects several indoor units to one outdoor unit, so it cools multiple rooms. Multi-splits take longer to service because every indoor unit is checked and cleaned — which is why they're priced a little higher.
Do you service all makes and models? +
Yes. We are approved service & installation partners for Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Samsung, Hisense, Midea and Bosch, and our F-Gas registered engineers also service all other major brands — Panasonic, LG, Toshiba and more — whether or not we installed the system originally.
Can I pay monthly instead of all at once? +
Yes. Our care plans spread the cost from £10.99 + VAT (£13.19 including VAT) a month and include priority booking and discounted repairs, so you never face a single large bill — or forget to book your service.
Do you cover commercial and refrigeration systems? +
Absolutely. ArcticNord maintains commercial air conditioning, VRV/VRF systems, chillers and refrigeration, including F-Gas leak testing and logbook records to keep you legally compliant. Contact us for a tailored maintenance contract.
