Our outdoor unit was under water in a flood. Can it be serviced or is it scrap? +
It depends how deep and for how long, and it is not something to guess at. A condenser that has been submerged may look fine and still have water in the compressor terminal box, corroded control boards or a contaminated fan motor. We will inspect it, check insulation resistance and electrical integrity, and give you a straight answer — repairable, or not worth the money. What we will not do is power it up, declare it working and leave. What's the difference between a single-split and multi-split system? +
A single-split has one indoor unit connected to one outdoor unit. A multi-split connects several indoor units to one outdoor unit, so it cools multiple rooms. Multi-splits take longer to service because every indoor unit is checked and cleaned — which is why they're priced a little higher.
Do you service all makes and models? +
